suboxone detoxing

I need support as I am beginning a detox from suboxone 2mg starting March 1,2009.  I have been on this for 2 years, prior to that methadone 60mg for 8 years, and at some point before all of that I was sober and clean in AA/NA.  I want sobriety again and do not feel "right or like myself" on the drug.  I am scared, but committed, Please help! stoney 234

WOW, good for you. There is nothing better than addicts helping other addicts regardless of what drugs we have used. Keep posting here too and keep us updated. So i guess you will get a welcome chip and a lot of hugs tonight at the meeting:) Aftercare is so important.

Thank you so much.  I am going to a NA meeting tonight, the last one was over 20 years ago, just been doing AA, but the truth is I Am An Addict  I only got through the Hepatitis C treatment because of all the support I received on their chat forum, so I knew what helped, and it seems like I am in the right  place here. I know this only works one addict helping another, and really look forward to meeting some great people.

I don`t know about tapering off of sub, but wanted to wish you luck and glad you are stopping it now. Are you going back to NA or anything. You came to a great place for support here

thanks for the reply.  Did you detox this way off the sub? Does a crumb make a difference or I am just prolonging the inevitable?  Thanks again.
