what is the difference between subutex and suboxone?

If u use small pieces of the sub...little crumbs for a week or less..u will have nothing to fear....a hydro habit is not really a sub thing..but if u have to work and maintain..the small amount of sub can help..and 8 mg sub is enuf to use over 5-7 days for a hydro habit and stay fairly comfortable...it will crumble when u cut it...even shavings can help as it is very powerful....if u use it sparing ly like stretch and 8 mg pill for ur wd...u should have no worry with sub addiction...just remeber that the mental aftermath is the hard part/not the physical wds/what do u have planned to help u stay clean?  that is the stumbling block for most

i am only at day three and have 1.5 of 8mg subutex.  is it too late?  I am also on day 3 of no vics.  should i be able to tough out the rest of my detox wo them?  Just want to get it over with and do not want another addiction

Either will take away your W/D's and you will feel great ---UNTIL you try to stop the Sub --- then it won't let you go and is a stronger addiction than most of the DOC's out there.  For me it was swapping one addiction for another - and I was only on it for 21 days  ----  I have been off Sub for 24 days now and still have W/D's ------ If I had only known about this before I took my first dose,  I would have continued my taper on Percocets and gotten clean that way.   I wish you well.   All the best.

Subutex is better if you ask me...It is also harder to get. That should tell you something.

Oops - they are not the same thing. One is plain old buprenorphine and the other is the bup with the narcotic antagonist narcane included in the formulary............

Nothing! It's the same chemical make up. You might want to look into staying away from it because its only a quick fix and is addictive. You will then have to taper or detox of it. Try Praying TO GOD and JESUS your savior to make you STRONG  and get through this without the SUB. Good Luck and GOD BLESS YOU IN JESUS NAME A-MEN!!!
