tapering off of methadone advice

What is the best way to taper off of methadone?  I haven't been using it long and am taking one or two 10mg a day.  I started taking these to get off of a long heavy 30mg ocycodone habit. I am ok with only taking 1 or 2 a day but don't want to be on them long. I am so tired of being on anything and everything.  I am ready to move on with my life.  I am terrified of w/ds although I have been through them before several times and I am well aware that there is no easy way to stop using.  But I'd like to be taking the bare minimum of anything when I go to take the leap to nothing.  Any recommendations as to what is the best way to do this.

the vitamin really helps??? also, I apologize I didn't know u weren't allowed to discuss that.  I am just desperately ready to be done with this and I think the main thing stopping me is getting through the wds.

atthebeach gave you a prity good idea of how to do this we really art aloud to discuss taper plans in the froum but what she said will work good luck and God bless....b/4 you start get up to walmart and pick up a 3 in on vitamin
calcium /magnesium/zinc take 4 in the mornig and 4 at diner time this takes about 2 to 3 days to build up in your system but it will really cut down on the withdrawals you feel.........Gnarly

Do you take 1 or 2 tabs most days.how long have you been taking them weeks,months?
That would make the difference in your taper and length of withdrawal.
Methadone is a slow taper. You can drop down 5mgs and let your body adjust to the drop for a couple weeks.
There is freedom. Take the step by faith onto the road called recovery.
Don't allow fear to get in the way. Take it as it comes. Be prepared. We will support and encourage you.
