Please respond, What vitamins should I take?

I am currently on day 9 of a methadone cold turkey jump from the empire state building. 270mg. yea, stupid but as an addict, tapering was useless. Anyway, I sincerely want to be clean of all drugs, including pain killers/methadone and want some advice.

I'm currently experiencing these withdrawal symptoms

lightheadedness
lacrimation
rhinorrhea
sneezing
NAUSEA
VOMITTING
DIARRHEA
fever
chills
VERY ODD DREAMS. A FIXATION ON ONE THING. I SERIOUSLY FEEL AS IF I'M GOING ABSOLUTELY MAD AND NEED TO ADMITTED INTO A PSYCHE WARD, NOT A REHAB FACILITY. this usually only happens when i've been up for a long time and can't sleep.
tachycardia - Rapid Heart Beat
EXTREME ACHES AND PAINS. THE SPOT OF PAIN [knee] I WAS TREATING WITH METHADONE IS NOW IN 10 TIMES THE PAIN BEFORE I HAD TAKEN A PILL TO TREAT THE INITAL PAIN. IRONY HUH.
elevated pain sensitivity
elevated blood pressure
Cognitive symptoms
suicidal ideation
depression
adrenal exhaustion
adrenal fatigue
PROLONGUED INSOMINIA
DELIRUM
AUDITORY HALLUCINATIONS
VISUAL HALLUCINATIONS
INCREASED NOTICE TO ODOR, REAL OR IMAGINARY. BAD ODORS ARE MOSTLY PRESENT, STRONG AND VERY UNCOMFORTABLE
marked decrease in sex drive
agitation
ANXIETY
panic disorder
paranoia
DELUSIONS

and would like some advice as to was to take to counteract these horrible feelings. I currently have a B-Supreme capsules, multi-vitamin, water, hot showers, but very little food. I think the B-Vitamins are old and causing me to vomit. They smell horrible, taste horrible, however do not expire until 10/09. I don't know, maybe I kept them in a hot spot or something. Please Help!

I have just read a few of your other posts.270 mgs of methadone is a huge amount to go c/t off of.I tapered down to 25mgs and went c/t off of methadone a little over 10 months ago,and I remember vividly those first few weeks,so I can't even imagine how you must be feeling right now.I did experience some of the things that you are experiencing right now,but not all of them.I really believe that it is in your best interest right now to seek some type of medical attention.I'm not trying to scare you, just worried about you. There are things a doctor can give you to help you out with the nausea and vomitting, help to regulate your b/p.The fact that you have not been able to keep food or fluids on your stomach for so many days, and some of the symptoms you are describing, concern me that you may be severely dehydrated.
I believe that mtgoat911 went c/t off a dose that was close to yours.I'll try and send her a pm.I believe shes a paramedic also.Keep posting and please seek some type of medical attention. All the best...Kim

Use emetrol and immodium for stomach / stool problems. Drink white grape juice or warm flat 7-UP.  Try and get some ensure if you arent eating well. The b-vitamins always have that smell/taste.  And you are hyper sensitive to them.  The pain perception will be that way for a while - it will get better.  Sleep is problematic - benadryl works for an OTC thing. Trazedone is an RX that works well.  Use the hot showers right before bedtime and throughout the day.  Keep some beef/chicken broth ready to warm and drink. Yogurt is a good one for now.

Its not easy or fast ......  realistically you will, have a couple more weeks of symptoms before you get better. But after week 2 you should be on the upswing.

i feel like i'm seeing the light. i'm not an average person. adversity is something i either comfront with all my strength, or hide with a big bottle of hydrocodone. i dunno, maybe everyone is like that. i know i keep saying thank you for your input but it REALLY helps. I have been taking the generic immodium. seems to help. I went to NA tonight! the people there thought I was LOADED, lol. i hadn't slept in so long. my eyes were glazed and kept watering-a symptom of wd. i did however smoke about .3g of marijuana earlier today. it helps knee pain. and get this, i haven't smoke weed in over 2 years, haha. drugs, such a bi#ch. anyway, i think i'm getting better. i was only on that high of dose for a few months. why such a high dose? my addiction...my Dr and his lovely prescription pad. I've been on opiates for 3 years and methadone for about 1 year. Mostly at 100mg. So hopefully that has something to do with good feelings i have right now. i actually feel like i can get out and take a walk and smile. the knee pain tho!!! its horrible. i dont' know what to do bout that. getting a prescription for darvocet or something week isn't all that easy for me. Also, i dont' think that would be a good idea. i'm confused.

The knee pain you might be feeling is RLS restless leg syndrome and is to be usually the worst syptom of opiate withdrawal(at least i think so)...did your docter give you colonidine for the blood pressure?  i check mine afew times a day and my heartbeat, just to make sure its not too high...even though for some reason my heartbeat was at around give or take the whole day 110bpm the whole day.

If you can get yourself to walk somehow that would be great for your mind and your body...also the docter thing is a good idea, maybe not for the taper(if you dont want to...all the strength to you!), but for maybe a week supply of a benzo to help you with your extreme anxiety and colonidine for the high blood pressure because when you stop cold turkey your body is under alot of stress, so it will raise your bp and heartbeat.

Get some melatonin from a gnc or vitamin shop take it night when you try to sleep, it will help you fall alseep, but prob wont keep you asleep too long...im on day 9 of stopping and im here at 4 in the morning typing..also you take a multi vitamin and a multi mineral complex in the morning with breakfast.  Dont take the b6 and l-tyrosine like you probably read in other posts at this point your not ready to start with it, it will give you alot more anxiety and gitters and will not help yet.  Also get milk thistle its to help clean the liver take 300mg in the morning and night time.  Green tea is good too, but the caffine might not be a good idea yet either but when you can.  For more vitamins get l-glutamine 100mgs 3xday(building blocks for the GAMA), Fish oils take 3xday (repair and function of cellular membranes and inflammation), a complete anti oxidant complex take in the afternoon with a meal, also vitamin c 1000mg 2xday dont take in the morning with your multi-vitamin unless it only has 100% of daily value or less then you can take it with breakfast also.

Also if you cant eat id suggest protien shakes and if you cant do that try and eat whatever you can, your body needs food and water more than ever. The protien shakes, when you can take them will help you get the amount of protiens your body needs, and you need alot right now.  While we are on these drugs we take away alot of the building blocks our bodies needs wich is why when we get off we have to get right to rebuilding them again. Eat raw fruits and veggies they actually help remove toxins from the body. I cant stress how important water is for your body and ours right now, its gonna help flush the system, drink a gallon minumin a day if you can drink more the better.  When you can eat dont eat anthing with sugar for at least a good long while.  No sodas or soda waters for at least 3 weeks and the same with red meat for 3 weeks because it actually has chemicals that increase inflammation and pain.  Stick to the lean protiens like chicken, fish, and eggs...i know this all sounds like alot but its how you can help your body now and heal quicker..i am certified in nutrition so ask any questions you would like, and at any time!!

Also i know you dont want to, but if you can see your docter so he can prescribe you clonodine for the blood pressure and withdrawals(it takes like 50% wd's away), and a benzo like valuim or klonopin to get with anxiety and to get through the wd's, also a light muscle relaxer to help with muscle spasms and muslce pain (baclofen is good and none addictive)..

As soon as you can excercise, please do it!! its a life saver believe me, it might take all the pains away for a little while..take a walk to start and progress as the days go on.  Hot baths all day long...those help!  When your in the hot bath the muscle and joint pain goes away for a little also.

I hope im not forgetting anything, but i want to make sure if your going to do it, do it right and make it as easy for yourself and for your body as possible (if easy is even a word right now!?). Remember nutrition therapy after detox should not stop once wd's are done, keep it up for at least 3 months minumum, but more like 6 months.

I know it feels like hell right now, but wait till you make it to the other side, try and help yourself as much as you can and we are all here for you.  If you have any questions, just shoot me a message at any time and ill answer any of your questions.  And im glad you feel a little better today!!!  :)
