How are you ? Hope you had a nice relaxing Easter. I know it's hard but enjoy this down time.
I had my hysterectomy right before Christmas one year. Best Christmas ever. I didn't lift a finger. lol Enjoy. Hugs, Mary
I am ok ,I having some problems keeping food down ,that is making it a little harder for the pain to go away ,its hard to throw up without moving my side .......I am learning what i can and cant eat though LOL. how are you doing ?
mary ,hahahaha ...... I didn't do much i made some baked potatoes and corn on the cob ,mr avis made the rest , my oldest made deviled eggs ........ which ended up being the devil for me :) NO EGGS.
I made deviled eggs too. Is this food thing just temporary or will you be able to eat normal after you heal ?
Just so you know dear, you may have diarrhea for months afterward. It will go away, and you'll be able to eat anything you want....
mary ,
I really dont know ........ we will have to see .
How was your easter ?
Thats kinda good news and bad news for Avis. lol
I think I can guess what that means.....but, this is not ordinary diarrhea, it's mostly bile, and it can be wicked for a while. I don't know why but docs never tell you this. Normally, your liver makes bile and your gall bladder stores it for release as needed. Without this storage facility, you're just leaking it all the time, which can be hard on the body until it gets used to the new plumbing. Just wanted to warn you avisg....
oh, yes i remember that. things i loved were a no-no. but in the last few month i have gotten back to normal, and i had my surgery the 1st week in dec. so it does take little time. but even with all that i have gained 21 lbs since i quit the pills. i just ate ALOT of what i could. and funny the eggs didnt bother me.
sorry you are not feeling well. hope it gets better soon
i still have bouts with the diahrea...does it finally go away?
For the most part, yeah, it does go away....
Thanks for the well-wishes Cath, I'm a hurtin' puppy right now. I'm gonna lay down and hope to be able to breath again. If I'm not here for a few days, I'll try to put something up to let folks know I'm still alive and kickin'.
Doctors never tell us anything. If it wasn't for nurses, we wouldn't have a clue to what is happening to us. Thank God for you on this forum. You help so many.
Avis, You take care. Doesn't sound like much fun for the next month.
Jaqui , sorry I missed something . Are you sick ? Hope you feel better. Hugs Mary
No sweat babe. Glad to do what I can. I'm not feeling terribly helpful right now, and need to go lay my sick butt down again......
Avis, hang in there, all will be well soon enough.
I'll be thinkin' about you guys. If I get the hubby to put the internet on my laptop (he's so busy), I'll try to be on here regardless of what's happening here, otherwise, I'll try to pop in when I can until I'm human again.
avis....when it rains it pours, huh???
I sure hope you get back to your old self soon...this jsut isn't fun, is it???
AS always...take care of yourself!!
thank you , No the doctor said nothing, told me I could eat like normal I have had a few friends that had there's removed so the diarrhea I was warned about ,the throwing up i was not expecting ,i will deal with it .... I was planing on going back to work Tuesday but I think I am going to take a few more days .
Avisg, glad you are home and hope you are on your way to a full recovery.
