I'm really stressed out really stressed out

OK here's the thing we are leaving for the weekend I'm looking forward to spending time with my hubby and 2 girls but not looking forward to being around other people my emotions are still all over the place..ugh....before it was take pills before I left, take some more when I got there etc. It's going to be a long weekend cause were going to the amusement park and I am just hoping that I can have fun and not worry if I'm gonna snap at my hubby and girls.  My question is how do I cope????

2) This person who shall remain nameless keeps coming on this site to just stir up trouble and I have stayed out of it since day one and let all the peeps with more experience handle the situation, but really this person is just pissing me off, if this person knew the real struggle that we are/have been going though to be were we are at....really? I need to get it off my chest cause it's been bothering me I know it shouldn't but it does.

I'm sure they are old news to you guys but I fell in love with the band WAKE OWL the other day! They have two amazing songs "GROW" and "THE LIFE I LEAD" that are really powerful! Lol.. We cant go back liz, all we can do now is make new memories, and you will.  I used to make my kids sit on the couch and hold hands when they would fight.  In chaotic moments of my life i reflect back to the faces they had while doing that, ultimate punishment for them, ultimate pleasure for me!! lol

It has Kyle with my youngest she's 14 we were supposed to spend the summer together going to water parks and the amusement park before she started high school bought the year passes and nothing I was too messed up to even drive the summer went by and she started school my other daughter is going to be 22 next month and my son will be 24 this sunday and my other son is 19 they have been a great support during my detox, I'm working on the feelings of shame and guilt that they had to see me like that,but hoping at the same time they won't go the road I went on. And yeah i'll even take some pics

I know Teri it's just my mom always taught us that you never state your business to anyone what happens at home stays at home and when I tried to get support from the people around me when I did ask well it didn't go to well

I envy you...You are stopping at a point where you still have years with your girls ahead of you. Do not ever put meds before them; if you do, as I did, those lost years will catch up to you and break your heart some day.

I'm 28 days in and yes you are right its a good thing, oh I'm looking forward to the food and funnel cake, the rides I'm not so sure the last time I got on one and had meds in my system umm didn't go to well...as for #2  yeah I know what you mean.....anyways Kyle Thank you I will take that with me really you are my Jiminny Cricket for some reason you struck a chord in me.

I'm trying to recall how many days clean you have. Wasn't it day 5 back in early September? Anyway, I think that you've got enough clean time under your belt to handle the weekend. I'll lay you odds that the worrying about it turns out to be far worse than the experience itself - in fact you'll probably have a great AND, most importantly, you have to start making good memories without the meds. That is a foundation to long term recovery, and something that is hard to do. Like you, all of my past outings, holidays, partys always involved pills. But now I have some great memories of good, clean fun, and I hang on to those. So, go eat some crappy food, ride some rides, and enjoy your family.

As far as #2 goes, well, I have to stay out of it.
