what to do, what to do???

I am 34 years old and have a had a lamanectomy and discextomy of l5 and s1 with a bone growth stimulator implant about 4 years ago. I started out taking 1 or 2 lorcet 10s a day. now i am up to about 8 a day along with 50mg fentanyl patches now. I am sick of living on opoids but feel that i cant live without them due to the pain. I was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia last year and that adds to the pain everyday. I cant afford the suboxone and dont know about anything else out there to take. Where i live, there are not any methadone clinics. can someone give me some advise??? Withdrawing really ***** and it is hard for me to go to work every night. I am a welder in a steel mill and pain is not an option...

thanks for the replies everyone. sorry so long to respond. i have limited access to a computer. not over weight and do excersise. down to 4 pills per day and no patches now. chronic pain *****. going to keep trying to cut out all together though. the struggle continues...

hi there buddy,

can you tell me if you are doing anything else for the pain apart from taking narcotics?
for people with long term severe pain it is almost always best to take care of your pain by using every method at your disposal.
do you take anti-inflammitories? do you do excercises? have you seen a physical therapist? do you eat healthily? are you overweight?
by attacking the pain in as many ways as possible it is often possible for us to reduce the amount of medication we take.
please let me know your answers to the above questions and provide as much detail as you can. if there are more things you want to ask, please feel free to do so.
also, try chking other posts for ideas.
