I am on 20mg suboxne a day,will taking 200mg tramado have any effects???
It probably will NOT work as Tramadol works on the same brain receptors (opiate receptors) as Suboxone and yours are being "filled" and "blocked" by Suboxone. It would take an ungodly amount of even a stronger opiate or narcotic to override it. I suggest taking something OTC and asking the doctor who prescribed you the suboxone what you should do for pain management because I'm sure you don't want to ruin your progress. When I came off of hard opiates, I tried to abuse tramadol and although it doesn't feel nearly as good, it can still get you somewhat high but I had to take more than normal which I don't suggest because tramadol can cause seizures if not taken as prescribed. i hav had a skn cancer removed an doc gave me script,really painful,but not sure if will work cause of sub.
