No, it is not dangerous to stop an opiate cold turkey. It will make you feel bad for a few days, and your pain may seem worse, but it is going to get better. The only way it would be dangerous to you would be if you had an underlying health issue like high blood pressure etc.
i suffered from opiate withdrawls, and roxys were a part of it but it ultimately led to a methadone addiction and no matter what you read or whatever anyone tells you....YOU CAN GET HIGH OFF METHADONE if you snort it..you just have to do enough of it...if you've done this for 2 months straight...im sorry to say but you will have withdrawls....what i did for my withdrawls is a stocked up on tramadol and took 4-8 a day (350mg is max you can take a day of ultram(tramadol) a day otherwise your liver will just filter it out and it'll go to waste) the withdrawls will be somewhat difficult they wont be as bad as what you read online because most addicts are addicted for years at a time but you can expect muscle aches, restless nights, diarehha, and the worst part for me depression...thats why i took tramadol it took away the depression but you can go to a doctor and it'll be pretty easy to break down in front of them and get a script for a anti-depressant if you are going through the withdrawls just dont tell them you were addicted and say the depression has lasted over 6 months and you think it is a chemical imbalance...i was prescribed to zoloft but when it comes to anti depressants, not everyone will work with every person it takes time to try different and get settled on one that works...but i would say the depression is the worst part... now i still do opiates occasionally(i made it through the withdrawls and waited a month or two to go back to it...a relapse) but i do not experience withdrawl symptoms if i just do them once or twice every other week or so...so dont beat yourself up saying i can never go back to them again..i understand that life can be hard and sometimes that is the only way to escape..now people will debate with me on that...but if your mind is as ****** up as mine, you need a stimulant sometimes or an escape...the withdrawls WILL be hard but work through it...it was the best thing i ever did was get away from taking them everyday...and also you'll save a **** ton of money because i'm sure as you know its easy to build up a tolerance and it gets pricey to get just one high...for instance it costs me about 25-30 dollars just to get high once...and i suggest that you find a friend or someone to confide in if you can to explain what you are going through and to call if you are in desperate need of emotional help...you can expect from the depression- no hope, chance of never seeing friends again, or never being in a relationship again...also you will have decreased appetite and you prolly wont be able to eat for a few days so you'll lose weight to if you have a weight problem :D i lost like 30 pounds and now im skinny as a stick...it has positive effects to quitting it also....i would suggest breaking up with your boyfriend and staying as far away from him as you can because he WILL tempt you into doing them again
I hope this information is helpful

Hi there, ive been on hydrocodone too for the past 4 years, i had alot to do today, so i bought some percocets, 5/325, just did the last one, then i will be aching tommotow, gonna try that soak, also, i found ginseng helps. Gonna be rough, ride the storm out
is it dangerous coming off of hydrocodone like i said i have no more pills was down to two a day now today i have the pain
Cheesystick is right. Baths and potassium help. I would add mag/cal/zinc supplement from Wal Mart and Hyland's Restful Legs. Get both OTC. Advil and imodium as needed. Heating pad for aches and pains and chills. Also get some epsom salts for your bath. All these things will help, but nothing will stop them completely, except a few days passing!
Best of luck! Cheering for ya!
Well, there are a few things to do to ease the pain... The Thomas Recipie, the Amino Acid Protocol... potassium (eating bananas has helped me with muscle cramping.)
another thing that is helping me A LOT is hot baths. makes me feel good when im in warm water. eases the pain a little bit.
P.S-- No it's not dangerous to come off of hydrocodone at the dosage that you were taking.
