Cathy, I didn't take offense :-) promise.
sorry, i didnt mean to be critical. i was just wondering about your schedule because tapering IS really hard and you have to stick to your schedule.
I know I should be sticking to a set schedule... it is just so damn hard. I tapered in just a few days.... 3 days I think.
sorry you are feeling all this. but, i assure it is all apart of the w/d process. although i didnt have fever i have read that others did. how fast did you taper. you said you are taking 1-2 pills per day. on a taper schedule you should not be taking 1-2 per dy. you should have a set amount you are taking and stick to it. just my thoughts. if you need anything or if i can help let me know.
cathy
It didn't even occur to me that I may actually be getting sick (and the fever is not w/d). I've been taking just one pill a day and take 2 when I'm having severe pains. I tapered fairly quickly b/c my doctor cut me off and I have no supply. (Which is a blessing in itself.....)
Opiates suppress your immune system, many people get respitory infections after quitting. So be careful and take your vitamins and drink lots of water. I used ensure as well.
how fast have you tapered? are you still taking the loratabs? and if so how many? i never had a fever when going through wd.
Lortab mainly but Oxy's when I could get them. My dosage was about 10 pills a day. I've tapered down and am taking about 1-2 pills a day. My fever is around 100. Not extremely high but it's making me feel worse. I have been taking lortabs everyday for almost 2 years.
what were you taking how much and for how long how high is your temp?
Yep, all normal, not nice to experience but normal! However they do pass. I found lying on my belly on an electric blanket helped to a certain extent. How long have you been going through w/d's? However, as much as these feelings are horrible, they will pass and you start to get back to 'normal' again. Take care.
Thanks you guys...
I read a post on here a while back that sex is so much better once you are clean. Man is that true!!!
I had the chills but wasn't feverish. I would just get really hot and cold.
Cramping is normal, opiates consitpate you so once you stop taking them...
Immodium works well.
Normal all the way around. I have puked for days while in withdrawl (and while using).
Feeling flush, sweats, leg cramps, total restlesness, confusion, stomach cramps, diareha and fatigue to the point you can't move are all normal w/d symptoms.
