long term addiction

my question is his I was put on codiene#3for a few years when i was very sick with hepc then i had other problems colon bleeding very( painful), restless leg syndrome, I am very heavy and the pains in my legs are at times unbearable. So I have been taking these pills for at least 8 years. My dr. tried Lyrica gabapentin andother stuff but nothing helped only codiene. Now my new dr wants to take me off of the prescription of codiene although I usually only need 2to3 a day. I never take them unless i need them which is usually in the morning because my legs hurt so bad. Should I seek another Dr. or get myself admitted in adetox she is set on just taking me off of them and i know there are side effects(withdrawels) she doesn't seem to care. I'm really lost as to what to do.
