What does Xanax consist of? What do they make it from? what if any chemical base or basses are in it? What is in it that can cause it to be addicting?

I can tell u from personal experience xanax doesnt work at all like opiates n ur body but they w/d symptoms r somewhat similar.The huge difference n quitting is that u can quit c/t on opiates w/o risk2ur health(as long as u dont have certain pre exsisting health issues) .Xanax has2b weaned down to avoid sezures.

Xanax is a brand name medication consisting of alprazolam. Alprazolam is a benzodiazepine, similar to valium/ativan/restoril. The only thing it has in common with opiates is its addictive potential. It acts on entirely different receptors in the brain. However, like opiates, it causes both physical and psychological dependence.
