2 questions need help with

i have two questions.

1. my heart beat per min is normaly 62 or 64 when i have palpitations its about between 86 or 100+ and you can look at my stomach and see it beeting and it beats pretty hard. is this really palpitations?

2. im now on zoloft half of tab using it at night before going to bed, last night was the third time using it, and last night i had the most frightening thing happen to me. woke up about 4:30 am to turn off the tv, when i open my eyes the bed looked very weird, then i was dizzy and shaking like crazy, then i felt this shivery feeling run down from my head right down my body felt like cold electric wave thats the best way to explain it, then my knee felt week like i was going to fall, faint or die, after that and taking xanax i felt better but was alittle cold, fell off to sleep without problems but now i just feel week an alittle shaky, what could it be, my anxiety or the zoloft.
by the way does anyone here know if there is a wright or wrong way to take zoloft (time of day, after or before meals?)

The palpitations are a hard one to deal with..... problem is the more we pay attention to each heart beat the more freaky it feels and the worse it gets.

I was at a long meeting last night and had the same thing, I really thought I would not be able to cope but I did it!  I realized that it was not going to kill me and that eventually it would go away all by itself and I would just have to remain calm.  Easy to say now, but I did notice that I get palpitations more when I have been standing or sitting or lying for a length of time, moving around tends to make it go away.

Glad it helped.  This forum is the best, it has really helped me too, to talk with people that "really" understand what its like to suffer from anxiety!

Have a stress free day, watch a dvd and do nothing stressful, like a day-off if you can and let us know how you are doing tomorrow.

What you are describing are the side effects that I just found when I googled Zoloft Side Effects, try that and see for yourself.  However most people mentioned that in the beginning the side effects were disagreable but that after a few weeks they went away.

You should check with your doctor and see what he says but the tingling sensation you describe is a side effect of the meds.

Another thing is that people describe taking it with food also.

Good luck
