anxiety

I was breathing in deep and it felt like my heart stopped for like a second. I had this little adrenaline rush and then my heart went back to normal. I also went to the ER like 2 weeks ago because out of no where my heart started to race and pound like crazy!! the doctor at the ER said my EKG was normal and everything else was too. So i went to my cardiolgist and had another EKG and it was normal. I took all the test(stress test, holter moniter, and cardigram)and everything was normal. He told me its just anxiety and I do worry alot about my heart alot. sometimes i feel my chest to see if its still beating or i will check my pulse. Can someone please help me!!!

PS. I do have palapataions

Palpatations are huge for anxiety sufferers. I suffer from them as well. Overall people with anxiety are way more in tune to their body and tend to feel every beat, missed beat and more. The fact all your tests are normal is wonderful! Do your best to focus on that. Next time you feel your heart act alittle funny ignore it. I know that is hard. But let it do its thing and say to yourself, I am healthy. My heart is strong and healthy. If we can learn to retrain our brains to the positive we can gain control over the negatives.
Has your doctor help you with regards to your anxiety? CBT,meditation, exercise, therapy are all wonderful tools. As is this forum, you will find many others with the same symptoms as yourself and it helps to see that you are not alone.
