Dr. has me on Klonopin
Question is... He planned two to three weeks, I'm rescently off pain meds and it helps with the gitters. Will taking Klonopin 3-5 times a day at 1 mg cause bad withdrawals like my pain pills did which I was on alot alot longer. Help

I'm off of the Klon. I flushed em all except 4 and taking only as needed and yet they still sit in cabinet.. I'm doin this without those now.. The Gym, work and Water are my drugs now.. LOL bad waay of puttin' it I guess but. Thanks for your help.. your friend in thanx and prayers, Rick Henry....
Oops, I see you said 1 mg. 1 mg 3-5 times a day is WAY too much Klonopin, you need to speak with your doctor about this.

You really need to tread VERY carefully and speak with your doctor about this, because with your pain medication history, you may be prone to addictive behaviors, and Klonopin is habit forming to say the least. Klonopin is usually indicated for longer term courses of treatment. You are going to need to be VERY VERY slowly tapered off the Klonopin to avoid any dangerous problems (like seizures). Coming off a benzo is NOTHING like coming off a narcotic, there are actual dangers and risks that could put you in the hospital, or worse. It's way more than just being uncomfortable.
The other problem with using a benzo to come off a narcotic is, eventually you are going to have to deal with the issues of increased anxiety and depression that goes along with d/c'ing an opiate. The benzo may help ease w/d symptoms, but in some ways, it is just prolonging the inevitable.
PLEASE talk with your doctor about this. I'm very concerned about how frequently you are taking the Klonopin. Let us know how you're doing!
