Hi All,
Thank you for this feedback. It feels good to know that I am not some weirdo having some type of alien out of body experience :)
Based on these answers I will look more into PTSD and what it means to have it. I will also talk to my doctor about this diagnosis as a possibility as well as finding out what my options are in terms of medication, since obviously my current one, even though at maximum dosage, is not helping me other than getting me more numb to myself and my surroundings.
I appreciate your honesty and your openness in sharing what has been and could still be a personal and challenging moment in your life.
Thank you all for the support and God Bless!
Gigi
Yes...maybe you are not on the right medication....you really need to go back to your dr and figure out something else.....sometime it takes a whike to find the right medication...
Good luck
Micha
Have you spoken to your doctor about how you're feeling? Are you on an anti-depressent? Because your symptoms of early waking at 4:00, no motivation, lethargy all point to depression. It sounds to me like you need to re-evaluate the medication you're on. I would discuss with my doctor either changing dosage or trying a different anti-depressent. Good luck to you! Everything is going to be just fine!
after a truck accident i had in 1989..i was also PTSD...post traumatic stress disorder. i was on meds for a couple of years.
it never is pointless. I have grown as a person, remarried, and do have small goals at this time in my life.
I had a couple of wonderful part-time jobs. one was a driver for problem children. I took them to school and back. I also ended up having my own small business...where i designed wildlife t-shirts.
Hope is there for you! It took me awile..but i did it.
While on medicine...yes i felt all of those symptoms. i was in a major depression.
i was more or less numb...which was a good thing at the time. I needed to heal, and i have.
Once your doctor, feels that your healing has stared and you are on th upside of your depression, he will adjust your medicine accordingly. Keep the faith.
