I've been wanting to try that too. He has some vids posted on youtube. I tried one a few years ago, the Midwest Center, and it did not help a bit. Stay away from that one.

I try it and was lucky cause I don't pay for it!!! Do nothing for my anxiety, it's a waste of money for those who pay for this!!!

Wow--you guys, I have two friends that swear by the midwest center one. Recently I met a couple more (guys) that swear by it too. I thought I was the only one it didnt work for!

Well, we are all different, it can work for someone and don't work for someone else!!! lol

For me, it didn't work at all... Anyway, if I well remember... one of the first rule in the Liden Method is to stop going to the Doctor and this can be very dangerous cause some of the anxiety symptoms can come from a REAL health problem... so that's very dangerous to follow that rule... Same apply for the meds, in the Liden method, it's write that meds are not good and you have to withdraw them... BUT some people with MILD panic disorder or anxiety will be able to continue to work and have a normal even if they have mild symptoms of anxiety once in a while, BUT when the symptoms of anxiety are chronic and severe and that you are disable from work and homebound, you can't just stop your pills and say that meds are just ****... withdraw the benzo meds for example can be very dangerous... you're anxiety have to be under control to stop them and you need to do the withdraw with your Doc.... and also, for the meds, some peoples need them to be able to cope with the anxiety and meds can help to learn some new ways to deal with the anxiety, especially with they are take at the same time than you see a Therapist!!! Other peoples will be able to just go see a Therapist and have great reduction of their anxiety without the meds...

Overall, the Liden Method is not good like a real Therapy...

I agree--everyone is completely different. I am glad to hear someone tried the linden method though because I wondered if it was legit.

Legit? Hummm well I don't think so, I mean the guy who write that method is only a guy who had an anxiety disorder, it's not a Therapist or a PDoc... so I don't think the Linden method is very legit... anyone who had to deal with extreme anxiety in their life in the past can do his "own" Therapy and write it and sell it on the internet...

The Liden Method is not the only one method that you can buy on the internet... Panic away is another one who is worse than the Liden method... in my opinion, those kind of thing that you can buy on the internet are not worth the money you will pay for them!!!

Sorry for my bad english... i'm french speaking and I do my best! lol

Trust me, if the Liden WAS the best thing to learn deal  with the anxiety, it will be teacth by every Therapist (Psychologist) in the world! lol It's nothing new and a good old CBT exposure therapy with a Psycghologist is more good for the panic/anxiety and  probably cost less...

I understand. I didnt mean to imply it was legit (as in it worked), only legit as in they supposidly give you something (even junk) for your money. :)
I give you credit--I dont speak any other language other than what I was raised with. All my siblings can speak various languages, but unfortunately I was not interested when I was in school. I suppose I could try to learn now...hmmmm, perhaps? Anyway---great job on the English!

I dont know anything about the linden method but i agree with one key thing you said. Some peoples anxiety come from a real health problem. Mine is acid reflux or Gerd. The heart palpatations and dizziness. irratation of the Sinus Nerve or Vegas Nerve. The lump in my throat that made it heart to swallow or even take a breath. irratation of the esophagas from acid reflux. This led to anxiety and all the other wierd symptoms that come with that.

hehe Thanks bbxx ;-) I do my best... I was used to live with only english speaking roommattes when I was a student at the university BUT I don't know why I never succeed to learn it very well... I can write it but to speak it it's another thing! lol

For the Linden Method, I understand more what you mean now... and to be honnest, for me it was junk, nothing who worth the money you will spend on it...  it's 92$  + tx put in the garbage!

Charles linden is not a therapists. But think about it a therapist has been trained for lets say 5-6 years in his field. which is quite broad. But linden has had anxiety for over 20 years and has worked with thousands anxiety sufferers. And he has researched thousands of hours for this condition alone. So i believe he knows his stuff better.
The Linden Method has work wonders for me. I first downloaded it. and i saw how much it helped that i bought it. ( because the version on the net was old and not complete missing all the visualization material). So i have to think that you either did something wrong or you did not believe that it will help you in the first place. But on the other hand it says it on the terms. It works for 95% of the cases. For my self it was the only thing that made me snap out of this dreadful condition. And many therapist approve of it. The reason that they dont use it is simple. The surgeon will propose surgery, the pathologist will prescribe drugs, the marijuana doctor will prescribe you with marijuana, the CBT specialist will treat you with cbt and Charles Linden with this method. And if you had CBT..... you would see that CBT shears many of the same principles that the linden method does.

The linden method only works if YOU WORK IT!

Here is a short list of things that will NEVER work.

1) Pills
2) Wishing your anxiety away
3) Hoping for the best
4) Constant anxiety attacks....

I mean, it is at it's core Behavioral Therapy which is the best possible way to cure a disorder that is totally present in the minds of people.

There is not a quick fix or magic bean for anxiety....you have to work at curing yourself and it WILL GO AWAY!

If you do this (using the Linden Method) you will be FREE FROM ANXIETY.

I used the linden method with great results so I now try to market the thing on the internet. I have wasted SO MUCH TIME marketing the program because anxious people would rather post their symptoms and insecurities than get any help.....it's giving me anxiety again!

Listen. It works, you just have to be open to trying something different.

Period.

It worked for me.. after suffering from anxiety and panic attacks for over 10 years. I wrote an article about it here:

Let me know if you have any questions :)

It changed my daughter's life in five days. She attended the Residential retreat as she was not disciplined enough to follow the method from the book and CDs. The course really focused her. Her anxiety and OCD had overwhelmed her life until she could no longer cope and she had dropped out of her Science degree during her third year.
Suffice to say post Linden Method she recommenced and graduated with first class honours. No sign ever of the OCD and panic that had dominated her life for over 10 years. Five days. That's all it took. I am forever grateful to Charles Linden and his team. Wonderful!
I cannot say enough in support of the method. It works.

I really don't like programs that say they will "cure" anxiety or fear. Especially because I've been let down in the past by a lot of online programs.

The Linden Method changed my life though I didn't expect it. I've suffered from agoraphobia for years. Basically since high school and it really changed me in somebody that couldn't do anything anymore. I didn't expected it to change.

The Linden Method cured me quickly. I would say that about 80% of my agoraphobia went away in the first 4 months and the rest followed after two months. I'm telling you that it's a great feeling to finally be able to walk the streets again with my boyfriend and go on holidays again.

If you're not sure about it, check out this review and decide for yourself: http://****.com/linden-method-review

I can't imagine my life like it was but you have to be open for it like anything else in life. If you believe it isn't going to work for you than it won't. Be open for it...and it might.

Hi Buttercup,

My heart goes out for you but believe me it's possible to improve your life although it probably doesn't feel like that right now.

First off, you have to realize it's going to be a process and you won't beat your anxiety problems in a day. Second, you have to find out what works for YOU. There is no one way cure for anxiety. Some people believe in medication, some in exercise, diet, therapy.

Personally, I also visited a good therapist that I felt comfortable with. Sometimes we need other people to show us those blind spots we can't see for ourselves. I also started exercising more. Running, push ups. Nothing extreme. I definitely made me feel better. Personally I had the most help from the Linden Method. You can check Winxtp for a review, I actually got a warning for posting the link so I will leave it at that. Although it benefited me I don't recommend it. Why? Because you have to find out for yourself what works best for you. It's all about improving YOUR life.

I never tried cognitive behavioral therapy but I got a CBT book for dummies and it also helped a lot. Maybe look into that or do a search for a qualified CBT worker?

Have you already considered seeing a qualified therapist or someone you can talk to about your problems? It feels great to unload and have someone giving you that extra push to see what's going wrong.

Love,

Jenn

I agree with what others said above.  There is no "one size fits all" fix for everyone dealing with the terrible effects of anxiety, but in response to the initial question, the Linden Method did work for me.

It was a little over 7 years ago that I came across the Linden Method and I've been pretty much anxiety free since.

That is not to say that I don't get stressed or completely forgot what it was like to have anxiety.  That just means that things do not progress to the point of manifesting symptoms, having to avoid situations, visits to the doctor, etc.

It can certainly work for you, you just have to believe that it works and follow the steps exactly as he clearly lays out in the program.  Best of luck to everyone suffering, I know first hand how you feel, you are not alone and things can get better!

Its too simple to be effective. The basis of this method are nine points or Pillars as they are called. Those are so vague as Stop visiting Doctors, Distract your mind when you feel anxious etc. Basically it is written by a person who previously suffered from Anxiety and Panic attacks. But the program, he insists, is for all types of anxieties. Problem is that for a person like me who suffers from Social Anxiety, distracting my attention when I feel anxiety speaking to a person or interacting in a group does not work because I am required to stay in the moment if I have to interact satisfactorily.

In theory, CBT seemed more realistic. Practically, well, it is a different issue altogether. Though the basic anxiety did reduce quite a bit, the social anxiety is very stubbornly ingrained into my psyche. The extreme self-consciousness makes it difficult for any improvement. This has been for years and finally my therapist recommended me for meds after previously maintaining that my anxiety is too mild and meds are not required. I've been on meds for a month and half but no improvement. So I think there is not much progress in this field in all these years.

Kind of like hypnotherapy you have to believe its gonna work if not it won't

Then it is more like positive thinking. Doesn't work either.
