Please help now !

Hello, I'm going out of zoloft, i did the tampering quick and i think I'm going trough withdrawal syndrome, but i want to be sure my symptoms are right with the problem. I am having a excruciating anxiety, i have nausea and pain in my stomach , my head is ready to brake in pieces, my toughs are out of control and i cant stop moving, i have panic attacks and phobias also. I had read that if you take 20 mg of prozac all this will go away, is this true? Have any other person feel this way i feel?   Please if you are a doctor or nurse that knows a lot about withdrawal from zoloft please help me, also if you are suffering or had suffer the way I'm suffering right now please tell me about it! Thanks, help please.

That's a very quick taper, and that may be your problem -- you may not have given yourself a proper taper for who you are.

How quickly did you taper off the Zoloft?  You say you did it quickly -- if it was too quick, it may just mean you have to go back on it and taper off much more slowly, but the above people seem to know your history more than I do, I'm only basing it on what you report here.  Going on Prozac might help, but it might not.  Upon reaching the end of the taper some psychiatrists use a little Prozac if the withdrawal is difficult because Prozac stays longer in the body and is therefore assumed to be easier to come off of than the shorter half life ssris.

Yes, you are very welcome.  By the way, I have been in a mental wellness ward: St. Mary's Behavioral and Mental Wellness.  It is NOT the frightening thing people hear about mental wards.  Those people did everything possible, and more to keep me comfortable while receiving the help I needed so much.  Don't be afraid, ok?  Blessings - Blu

Meaning you're experiencing debilitating panic and anxiety, which you have been for a while now.  I know you've been working with your therapist, which is super, but sometimes a person just needs something a bit more intense.  They could help you stop the panic attacks and get you calmed down so that therapy would be more effective for you.  Something to consider anyway.

Crisis mode is a serious situation during which you need help right away.  Inpatient treatment refers to admitting yourself to a mental wellness ward for recovery.  Blessings - Blu

You don't want to start taking other medications or try to figure this out on your own, you need the help of a doctor.  As I said on your status, I think you're in crisis mode, and it may be a good idea to maybe seek out inpatient help to get you stabilized.

Good luck!
