Physical sypmtoms only! Is it anxiety? Please help!

Hello, thank you in advance for viewing my question and taking time to answer. For the past month I have been experiencing physical symptoms that match up with anxiety, but I never have any feelings of panic or fear or dread. It all started about a month ago, I was riding on the train and out of the blue I felt my heart jump. First time it ever happened in my life. After that I started experiencing a couple brief episodes of heart palpitations a couple times a day for about a week. About 3 weeks ago, chest pain and dizziness set in. One night I had a stabbing pain in my chest, and dizziness and palpitations. I thought I was having a heart attack, so I called the ER and went. After doing the usual tests, the cardiologist said I was fine. After leaving the ER, my palpitations stopped but I continued to have a dull heartburn like pain in my chest and almost constant light headedness. I had an endoscopy which revealed nothing, was put on a Holter Monitor (nothing) and had a brain MRI (nothing).

At this time, basically my only symptom is nearly constant mild lightheadedness. I get some mild chest pain and some palpitations once in a while (they've returned somewhat), but not too often now. I've also experienced some facial tingling as well as numbness and tingling in my left temple. Is this anxiety?? I don't have any emotional feelings of fear or anxiety other than the worry over my condition! When my first palpitation started I wasn't anxious or scared about anything. Please help me, I just want my life back! The light headed feeling is especially terrible... it's mild but it's so tough to deal with!
Preferably, I would like to not have to see a therapist or take medication, especially because I don't feel scared or anxious other than about my condition itself, but of course I will if it comes to that! Thank you!

Wow - just read your post and am amazed and somehow comforted that I am not the only one.  My situation is very similar though I have not had any chest pain.  My first bad episode was a year ago and after tons of tests including Holter monitor, my GP and cardiologist put me on a mild beta blocker.  It has eliminated the palpitations but now I am having the nearly constant mild lightheaded feeling, jittery feeling and facial tingling. Feels like I drank 10 cups of strong coffee, though I have been caffeine-free for a year.   I too was not, and am not, anxious or scared over anything in my life except these episodes.  In fact my life is pretty terrific except for this.  Will be trying some natural solutions (meditation, prayer, exercise, maybe seeing a therapist, etc) before I consider any additional meds.  Hope it helps to know you are not alone.  Will be looking forward to hearing about your progress.

You are in very safe side. Nothing to worry just calm your self. Since you don't have any decease . don't ever take any benzo or antidepressent. Start doing meditation deep breathing . everything will be fine . one more thing stop thinking about your anxiety and net surfing related to this. God bless you . all the best
