I really hope you get this sorted, today is Monday so hope the appointment goes well and your Doc gets to the bottom of this and gives you the support you deserve. All the best Julie x
Nope, nothing like that round here... We have primary care clinics but they almost keep same hours as reg Dr's. Thought about going to the hospital but I'd be there all day and I'd probly end up in the psych ward or something. My hubby's almost home from work thpugh & he's been helping me to calm down a lot. He's all I've got (and our lil boy)though because both my parents are well.. You probly don't want me to go there!? Anyways, the appointments getting closer so just ready to find out more... I just hope he's nicer now b/c there isn't another neuro anywhere close by, but I am almost thinking I want to find one in Nashville, STL, or somewhere other than here.
Thanks and u all take care 2!

A med clinic is like a mini hospital. If you look in your phone book you may find one close to you, or call the nearest hospital and they can tell you where one is.
How are you holding up so far this weekend? Let us know and take care. Remar
I'm in KY (western) and everything here is as backwards as most people think... ER is the only type of off hours care and they are horrible. I don't even know what a med clinic is?! Thanks for the newly needed support, I really appreciate it.

This is an unexcusable situation for the doctor to put you in. To have the nurse call you with the dignosis only to leave you high and dry without any anxiety med's and no indepth explanation of how severe or next step plan. This is awlful!!
Yes i agree with Remar, your Doctor should have an out of hours emergency service number, so get in contact and let them know what has happened and that you need help to cover you over the weekend.
Am so sorry to hear that you have been dignosed with MS, must be an awful blow, i really hope they start you on an effective medication to ease the symptoms. All the best x
I really am kind of shocked that the nurse to you that you have MS over the phone. I think your Dr should have told you this in his office.
And now they expect you to wait over the weekend with this news that's making you even more anxious with no meds?!!
Was it your Dr you talked to or the nurse? If it was the nurse, call your Drs emergency number and tell him to call in your prescription.
If you can't get in touch with him or he won't do it then go to a Med Clinic and explain your situation. They'll probably give you enough of your meds to last until Monday. Some are open until 8:00 and some until 10:00.
Let us know what happens and take care. Remar
