Zoloft making my anxiety worse?

I was on Zoloft got about 2 days and I know that's not long at all but I feel weird. Like I feel really moody when I'm around my family and in school I have more anxiety than I did before I went on it, and I just mentally don't feel too great. I know you have to wait for your body to get used to it and all of that but is this normal?

Give it two weeks the first time I tried it I stopped after 5 days and got depressed again took it again a second time and it worked miracles. Patience is key.

You should talk it over with your prescriber and/or pharmacist.

How old are you?  How serious is your problem?  And yes, this is normal, it's a common reaction.  But it would be nice to know how severe your problem is, how young you are, and who prescribed the drug and why and whether other options were suggested before you went on such a strong drug.

I've been on Zoloft before. My doc told me it can take up to 6 weeks for it to really work in your body. I started with small doses and gradually increased, as per my doctor. And I believe a good 3 weeks I noticed waaaay less anxiety. Good luck to you! Hang in there. It will be okay.

Since you know you have to wait, then consider that it is too soon for the Zoloft to be making that effect. you claim to notice
Your anxiety was there before the Zoloft and is still there but you are over-analyzing your body due to fear, which only makes you think weird things are happening.
Try to relax during the next few weeks and tell yourself that you are taking a powerful med which might be able to help you deal with your anxiety in a month or so.
