Have you ever done counseling before? That might be a good thing to start with. And I would mention these symptoms to your GP again.
Hey Joey,
I would recommend a diet change. I know that sounds strange but eliminating sugar and caffene from your diet and really help. This means all white bread, coffee, pasta, croutons...etc. Any kind of refined sugar reaks havoc on our bodies. Keep in mind that this type of approach can take a month or so before you will begin to see results.
You may also try some kind of Benzo...SHORT TERM! These are very addictive and the withdrawals can be worse than the anxiety they treat. I have a script for Xanax but can only take it at night because they turn my lights out and I sleep like a baby.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
well i would say start by finding a good psychologist. this can take some time as some are complete idiots. you would share all if your inner thoughts and emotions to just anyone, so the same can be said for sharing them with just any psychologist...but finding one you connect with on a certain level and trust can be a huge help. if your psychologist thinks the meds may not be working, they may be able to recommend a good psychiatrist...then both of them work together to give you the best treatment. i have a friend who has found both an excellent psychologist/psychiatrist who work out of a non-profit agency...so that means if you don't have insurance or think it's too expensive, there are still good ones who don't charge an arm and leg. this is a step you'll need to take if you are unable to get better on your own. most family doctors will not touch a mental health issue. good luck.
**you WOULDN'T share all of your inner thoughts...***
i really need to read what i write before i post it.
