i see things that arent there

this may not have anything to do with spirits or anything like that, but since I was young, almost everytime I walk through a doorway (bedroom, bathroom, livingroom, kitchen, ect.) I see something dripping. Sometimes it seems so real I duck from it out of suprise/reflex lol. I don't know what this is, never thought to look it up. But now I'm curious of what this could be...

have you tried an eye Dr? I found out I have detaching retnas (from being really near sighted) and I see the eye Dr every year to examine them. He told me if I ever 'see things' (especially in my peripheral vision) to call him right away....

Whoops. I meant it doesn't sound anything like a spirit. Early morning typo.

It may be a form of "Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome" caused by something that happened to you as a child. I would see a good psychiatrist and get into some therapy to help you sort this out. Take care...

I am so curious as to how real these things are you are seeing? As in real to you. Like if I was standing in front of you. Would it be that real? On a scale of 1 to 10. 1 Been not so real. 10 been too bloody real. Where are we at? It is just something dripping. Never anything else at all? Always the same thing is what I am getting at. I'm a big spirit person. But it does sound anything like a spirit of any kind. More like what a person might see after some spirits. ( LOL )

This does not really fit in with any classic symptoms of anxiety............which, on the off chance you didn't notice, is where you posted this. You do not say that this causes you any anxiety.............only curiosity. Are there any other symptoms that accompany these visual images? Do you notice a particular odor? Do you hear anything? Feel anything? Sense anything? Do you feel threatened by these images? Does this only happen in your house? Has anybody else ever seen them? Are you always alone when they appear? What, exactly, do you see "dripping?"
You could try posting on the Neurology Forum.........perhaps someone there might have an answer for you.
Personally, I would make an appointment with a neuro and discuss this with them. I'm afraid I can't even guess at what this may be about.
I wish you luck and hope you let us know when you get an answer. There are going to be lots of us now who are dying of curiosity.
I think I might also stock up on some garlic.
Peace
