klonopin

im recently taking klonopin 3 times daily 0.5 milligrams. my question is how long does it start to take effect been on it 2 weeks now i was taking zanax 3 weeks ago but no longer take that anymore. i find i still get a little edgy with the klonopin in between doses is it ok to take a little zanax once in a while to take the edge off. ty autume

You are, naturally, welcome to post any question(s) you have on this forum. My only concern, if it can be called that, is that I have answered these same questions in our PMs at least 5 times. What is it, EXACTLY, that you are still not understanding about your Klonopin and the Xanax? I have explained to you a number of times that you CANNOT use Klonopin on as "as needed" basis. You must take it EVERY day, AS PRESCRIBED, so it will build up in your system. Three days ago in your post, you told me you had only been on the Klonopin for 8 days. Now you are telling us you've been on it for two weeks! Which is it? 8 days or two weeks? I have also explained to you that it is OK to take some Xanax while the Klonopin is building up in your system. I've told you 5 or 6 times, at least, that taking a small amount of the Xanax is NOT going to cause you to "overdose!" Taking an occassioanl Xanax is exactly what that particular drug was meant for. PRN=AS NEEDED! You told me that the other night you were feeling "edgy" and took some Xanax and I reassured you that that was just fine. I have advised you in each and every one of our posts to take these concerns to the doctor who prescribed the Klonopin to you and have him/her explain the safe and correct way of using these two meds together, and to be honest with them about how you were dosing yourself with the Klonopin.
Perhaps I have not made myself clear to you in all my other posts, so I'm hoping that someone else on the forum can finally shed the light on this subject that you need.
