Recently dx with Hashimotos and lost

I'm 36 and was diagnosed with Hashimotos 3 months ago. After my T3 tripled over my lab work from18 months ago my doctor put me in 25 mcg of Synthroid. My levels are now within normal at 1 but I feel absolutely zero relief. I have been eating extremely clean and working out 5-6 days a week for a month and have not lost 1 lb. I have zero sex drive, feel stressed all of the time and depressed, have such heavy periods that I'm on medication, and exhausted. Folks blame it on being a full time working mom but I know it is more. I have tried to find a specialist and have not been able to locate one in Austin. I have been dealing with this doe at least 3 years (for me the symptoms kicked into high gear after my daughter was born) and I'm feeling defeated. I don't know where to go from here.
PS my mother is also extreme Hashi's with celiac disease, and has had horrible symptoms without resolve for over a year.

Niko- thank you very much. I am definitely switching doctors just trying to figure to which one. Any chance you could go to my page and read my latest posts which show my lab work? It's under the subject Gluten with Hashi's.
I'm getting really depressed because in spite of trying to get ready for a fitness competition in November and eating ridiculously clean/exercising, I've gained 5 lbs since starting 25 mcg of Synthroid.
Thanks for your help-

Hi Hypointx and welcome to the forum.

Please read my previous reply here, as it is very pertinent to you as well.

Your normal blood levels mean nothing if you're thyroid hormone-resistant.

You may need to switch to natural and to treat the symptoms, not the lab results!

OK, Dr. Jeremy Wiseman, in Austin will probably treat you, but since you're  a Hashi Newbie, it's best to seek out a different one, as you're not
experienced and knowledgeable enough.

The Hills Medical Group / Center for Health and Healing might be a descent starting place, as they would prescribe Natural Thyroid, however I don't know if they take insurance, as they are mainly holistic and preventive
health practitioners, but it won't hurt to ask.
Personally I would check this first before any other one, in light of all the
inefficiencies with conventional medical doctors diagnosing and treating Thyroid disorders. The record is dismal, to put it mildly!
Please note that I am not in any way recommending the aforementioned,
as I have no personal experience with either one. Also I live in Canada, lol!

You may post again if you have any questions, or you may pm directly.

This is not intended as a substitute for medical advice.

Love & Light
Niko

PS
Has your mom posted here as well?
If not, she's welcome to do so, or perhaps you
may want to post on her behalf.
Just a suggestion since you mentioned
she's not doing well with her Hashimoto's and Celiac's.
