I had these done over 10yrs ago and recently been 4 a reversal.
They where suppose 2 find clips on my tubes but instead they found these clips placed 2gether on my abdominal wall, I had no left tube at all and my right tube was attached to the side.
I have been in contact with my hospital 2 find out what happened as I am extremely confused.
They tell me they come away over the yrs.
I don't understand if that was the case then 1) why did I not feel it. 2) what happened 2 my left tube. 3) why r the clips neatly 2gether facing the same way and not found either side of where they come off ????
Anyone else had this ??  Can anyone help me understand all this ??

i had my cilps put on in 2007 and since they have been put on I have had more intense periods, severe pain and a lot of what is going on I believe is from the clips then if I want them off I have to pay when insurance paid to put them on with all the problems I am surprised there isn't a class action suit so we can get this taken care of with no cost since it is now causeing problems we were not told about

Sorry that you have suffered from allergy to the filshie clips as well as post tubal ligation syndrome (heavy bleeding). So you had not connected the filshie clips to your autoimmune disorders until AFTER the hysterectomy? I know they oftentimes remove the tubes at the time of hysterectomy and it seems they would have certainly done that in your case.

You said "I have all kinds of issues. Way too long to text out right now." What additional symptoms have come up since your hysterectomy? Could your ovaries have failed or be in the process of failing? That happens in about 40% of hysterectomies since there is loss of blood flow to the ovaries. An intact woman's ovaries produce hormones into her 80's.

Has anyone had hives it rash from sensitivity to these clips?  I have been dxd with many autoimmune disorders and many of the same symptoms all of you are complaining about. I never thought it could be my filshie clips. I had tubal ligation in 2002 after my 3rd child and I had a subsequent hysterectomy in 2011 for pain and heavy bleeding. At no time did they tell me that it could be the clips causing the pain and heavy bleeding. They left my ovaries so I wouldn't go into early menopause but also left the clips (I just recently confirmed this last week) as my hubby had said he thought something had poked him also. I was under the assumption I was just having another kidney stone but made an appt with my GP who thought they would have taken the tubes during my hysterectomy as I guess they aren't needed to be left for the ovaries to be left. I emailed her office and told her no, they left the clips and the tubes and wondering what to do as I have all kinds of issues. Way too long to text out right now. Many could be caused by these as I'm reading stories!! I have an allergy to nickel and am so pissed right now!!

I have had this same pain for over 5 years (on and off pain, assuming it becomes inflamed, hurts, then I rest, then the pain goes away, but then the clip moves, edges hit nerves, cause inflammation and pain, and etc etc etc.  It feels like someone is jabbing me with a knife into a nerve sometimes, and during walking, I limp or even worse sometimes,...like a jolt that totally makes my one hip feel like it's just malfunctioned due to this pain. Hurts terribly.  I am calling my doctor today, after reading MANY stories of the filshie clips dislodgement problems, and wanting both (one is dislodged) hooked out!  I am convinced now, that it is the cause of my pain.  I had an X-ray done a year ago and it showed the "metal-like piece" was in my body, and not in the correct place if it was the clip.  I have been to doctors, examinations, and sports physicians and physiotherapists...so all SEEMED fine, and I'm left to believe it is that now. I am 53 and VERY fit...exercised my entire life...so why am I having aches like an 80 year old now and then?, why do I have terrible pain in my right groin/lower abdomen area? 99% chance it is my dislodged tubal ligation clip. Thx Nancy
