I have had severe anxiety problems before and they are terrible. I am sorry that you are having trouble with them & finding a birth control that works. I would NOT recommend YAZ...it's the only birth control that has had truly debilitating effects on my mood. I've experienced depression, anxiety, headaches, weird breathing/yawning side effects, you name it...currently I am taking a break from birth control (my boyfriend lives 3 hours away anyway, so honestly it doesn't get to happen that often), and trying to get my body regulated after this terrible bout with YAZ, but I was on Loestrin-24 about a year 1/2 ago & had very mild side effects with that one (about 10 lbs of weight gain)...so maybe give it a try.
Hope this helps & good luck!
the first 2 weeks were the worst for me too, then it went away. There was more bad days than good days though,so i quit. I was on ortho tricyclen lo, then on Yaz. Both caused anxiety/depression. I think the hormones in the pills just effect peoples bodies differently, meaning theres no answer. Maybe someday, when doctors pay more attention to the psychological side effects.
I would recommend you go on low-ogestral it werks very good. i too get sad and depressedd a lot but this pill is great!
