Has anyone experienced gallbladder problems since taking the BC pill Yaz

I have found a lot of information linking gallbladder disease with the BC pill Yaz.  I myself have been going through some major health issues since about 2 months after I started taking the pill.  Although the pill has cleared my acne and evened out my hormone levels, I've been to several doctors because of a pain in my right side.  I've also had my appendix removed because of a misdiagnosis.  Now my doctors are convinced that I have to have my gallbladder removed.  I'm not over weight, I eat right, and exercise on a regular basis.  I just don't understand why all of a sudden my health has taken a turn for the worse.  Could this all be linked to the pill?  Has anyone else had similar experiences??

Did you end up having to have your gall bladder out?

I haven't been on hormonal bc for years now.  I'm 29 with a 4 year old son... Im scheduled for gall bladder removal next month.  I have done tons of research on gall bladders and it seems like gall stones which are more prevalent in women are linked to hormones.  They are very common in times of hormonal surges such as pregnancy and during the use of hormonal contraceptives!!

I've never been on Yaz, but was on Ortho Cyclen for 5 years and eventually had to have my gallbladder out because it was full of stones.  My twin sister is just now having symptoms of gallbladder disease, but she hasn't been on the pill as long as I was.  I'm still on it and wondering if it could cause other problems even after the gallbladder is gone.

It can be linked to the pill. If it's causing problems, please switch to another form of the pill or another method! Yaz has had many problems, as it has high levels of certain synthetic hormones, which can negatively affect many people. I'd say get off of Yaz as soon as possible.
