I hope Kamron does well with his treatments. The swelling of his face may be due to the steroids they have to take to control the inflammation of the treatments. I should go down as the steroids reduce.
We wish him well!
My neighbor's son has glioblastoma multiforme. He is only six years old. He just completed a series of radiation treatments, and they are going to do an MRI soon to see if it was successful. He has gained weight and his head and face appear swollen. If you are reading this post, please say a prayer for Kamron. Also, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I had an uncle with the same form as your mom, the glioblastoma multiforme - he also found it late and passed quickly but glioblastoma is a different form. It is the words after it, if any, that make for prognosis - as well as stage, previous health, location of tumor and a host of other factors.
I have a cousin with a thalmic cancerous tumor, and he is doing ok so far.
My mother had a glioma back in 98, I believe it may have been Glioblastoma multiforme, I just cant remember the exact name. I know it was the most aggressive of the brain tumors, unfortunately she had passed from the disease. When she was finally diagnosed she was already Stage IV... I cant imagine anyone having lived with this disease as long as you have, I, with all scencerity, hope you are not suffering the way I would imagine you would be.
There are quite a few people that post. I hope you get responses. I have family with brain cancer.
