Coming out of Menipause

Could anyone tell me what it is going to be like as I come out of drug induced menopause. I have been on Zoledex and  Femmera for five years. I stopped taking the Femmera over a week ago and would be due for my monthly shot yesterday. To control the symptoms I have also been of Effexor XR for five years and have now switched to the non extended release about a week ago so I can be weened off.
I have been feeling a lot of pressure behind my eyes, shooting pain from my stomach to my rib, and feeling kind of like I am in a fog sometimes. Last night I thought I was going to fall over I was so dizzy and then I burst into tears....
Has anyone been through this? Any advice? What should I expect?

Get your thyroid checked. Fogginess and tears seem to come with hypothyroid. Joint pain, muscle spasms (etc, etc, etc ).
Can't hurt to get the blood test to determine what goes with your current/last drug regime and what may be a new issue. I thought my muscle weakness was from my chemo/radiation. I thought I just had chemo brain (and I might actually have that as well LOL). But my blood tests say I have hypothyroid too.
I hope you get some relief and soon! Best of luck to you!

Hi!

I haven't been there.  I was put into surgical menopause.  I get hot flashes.  Sometimes I'm moody, but I'm not sure that I wouldn't have been moody anyway!

Have you talked with your oncologist about what you can expect?

Hey BC community members, any help for cricket?

Hope someone out there has been there and can give you some insight.

Warmly,

Chris
