Dillan has problems

I took him in today to be checked up by a vet. I got him from the shelter 4 days ago so knowing this....I was aware of the risks. Well...here are the results. Dillan has an upper respiratory infection. Dillan also has ear infection and is being treated right now with Tresaderm. Lastly, they found an area under the chin with no hair and all scratched up and itchy. They collected samples and the results will be in sometime.....in like 20 days. They suspect 2 things: Ringworm or my cat, Abby, scratching him  when playing with him. If Dillan has ringworm they might report that and take him away from me. Ringworm is extremely contagious.

His UTI symptoms are only sneezing. The vet said she would not give me any meds to give Dillan because the cold is very mild. I am terrified my older cat will get infested. Keeping Dillan isolated is no use as Abby has already been exposed to it although he isn't showing signs of UTI (perhaps his immune system is strong enough?)

Is it really fair that they may take away my cat if he has ringworms? I can treat it with the help of a vet! I know it is highly contagious but is it really necessary to take away my cat just like that? I don't want to seem ridiculous, but I want my cat with me. Are they being fair here?

Maybe Abby's not eating because his nose is stuffy!  Cats don't like eating if they can't breathe well.  Don't give up on the rabbit yet!  Wait til he feels better, and then see how he does with it.

Ladies, don't worry too much. They are still playing although Abster isn't eating. But I think  Abby just doesn't like his rabbit. Dillan loves it. I hate to see them both feeling so uncomfortable. I am taking  Abby to the vet tomorrow morning so I will definitely  post about it here on this thread.

Please, post all the updates on the thread so we ALL know what's going on!  I'm sorry to hear that Abby's been sneezing!!  Poor Ab.

Sorry to hear Abby has it now. I hope They find out what is making them both sick so they can both get better soon. If you can post updates on this thread, that'd be good.

Well due to the fact i am running around with kleenex stuck in my nose and sneezing and coughing all over the place i think i am going to come to your house and recuperate.  You will never even know i am there!!!!!!  I think this being Miss America has worn me out......so many people to see, so many places to go, running around in my kibini.......ahhh such pressure!!!!!

But the little one is still sneezing and now my older is sneezing too. I gotta wait until next week to get the lab results for ringworm testing. In the meantime, Dillan is having fun playing with Abby, making him sick lol.
