Yes i have many of these and have for as long as i can remember.  I went to see an electrophysiologist.  This person is a cardiologist but specializes in heart arrhythmia's.  My doc ended up doing an mri of my heart to rule out one of the more dangerous types of tachycardia.  Anyway i also see a huge increase of palpitations during my period.  Drives me nuts.  But anyway after stress test and mri doc told me i was going to be fine but could go on a beta blocker to slow the palps down.  I hate meds so i said no thank you.   He said these palps wouldnt kill me but just annoy the heck out of me...and he was right.  Once in a while my heart will race too but gets back in rhythm within seconds.  He said i was good there too.  Good luck on your hunt for answers..its scary i know

Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.

Heart Palps should be looked at closely for family history and make sure it is not the heart but yes, many of us do have these issues...since I  had the Chiari surgery I no longer have them.

But it is also possible that it could be related to a condition related to Chiari as many of us deal with more then just Chiari,..like Syringomyelia, ICP, POTS, sleep apnea, disk issues, tethered cord, and ehlers-danlos.

Plus there may be non related medical issues someone may have randomly....??? we never know the root cause and not all Drs will admit some of these things can be related to Chiari.....so push for answers.

Join pain can be Chiari or Ehlers -Danlos.....so again get tested for these related conditions.
