Got refused for life insurance....

So i applied for life insurance and obviously told about chiari in the application.... And i was refused

They only insure people who are 12 month post op.... Y...

I know i am not about to drop dead from chiari  any time soon.... But ppl can go any time and people around me aren't well to do so won't be able to pay for a funeral...

I know its pretty morbid to think those at 23 but what the hell ... I don't even plan to get surgery to be 12 months post op to reapply lol something to do with risks involved with surgery..

Getting so annoyed with this bloody condition i wish it would go away

I was denied, bcuz of my age and dx.....I had a 401K that I rolled into a sorry I can not recall the term for what the heck I have ,,,ugh,,.,,ne way I have that and it is more then enuff to cover my final arrangements and then some.....so I will not waste money on life ins at this point.....

Look into what if ne benefits u may have from a job or when looking for one a good 401 K can  serve the same purpose as life ins.JMHO

This reminds me too much of medical insurance denials. We tell the truth, they deny. :( Sorry you didn't get life insurance. If you can, appeal. I think these rules on insurance companies place should be thrown out based on the ADA act because they discriminate against the disabled by denying the disabled coverage.
