Hi all...my treasure this week, is sitting back and enjoying the PA Farm show....I enjoy it as I was a member of the FFA in high school and went to a few in person...I love the sheep to shaw contest that is on tomorrow....it is available live on the comp for ne one interested....PCN PA FARM SHOW....
My treasure this week is that I'm finally getting back to work! I finished up grad school in June, had my (4th) surgery in August, went through recovery, looked for a job, and am starting work later this week. It feels so good to think about getting back into doing something that feels productive and satisfying. I also feel good about being in a position to contribute more to our household -- and I'm sure my S.O. feels the same way!
Congratulations on Graduating Grad school and getting a job...and moving forward after surgery....all the best to u in ur new position : )
Congratulations! I hope to be in that same position this time next year :)
Today I am happy for my children. We had such a fantastic and productive day and I don't think I could have made it this far without such unflinching love and support. For only being 10, 9, and 6, they sure are awesome.
Hi this week it is my friend and working with her to plan her DD's Bridal shower...and just being able to see the excitement in her eyes as we complete things....
HI all I was hoping others had some treasures to share this week.....
My teasure this week and always is my wonderful husband and my beautiful daughter, they keep the twinkle in my eye! They are one of the biggest reasons besides the love, grace & mercy of God that I have kept going all these years. I love them and appreciate them for all that they do.:)
Thanks for sharing : )
I feel we have to look at the positives in our lives too as this condition can bring us down and we all tend to look at what is wrong instead of also looking to what is right....thanks again : )
You're welcome! And you are absolutely right. We DO need to looka t the positives, sure we could lay down and be miserable and give up, BUT for me that is NOT an option, Yes, having Chiari *****, But I / we still keep going :) It's so nice to be able to have others to talk to that truly understand what we are going through. Most times I just put on that happy face and try to smile through the pain, and just keep going, lol. Sometimes that turns out real bad for me though, ha But most people have no clue what we go through or what we are even talking about, so I have gotten to the point that I just really don't talk about it, But the ones that know me well can tell when the day is a bad one.
Thankful for you as a friend to talk to
I pray that as youa re incouraging the rest of us, that you also are encouraged. Strength & prayers to you Selma. GOD BLESS <3
Hi all I got to watch my DD's puppy online last night, she is so funny...she was upset as my SIL was late getting home, she was pacing back and forth and when my DD asked her what was wrong, she started "talking" to her, it was so funny I never heard her do that b4....she is my treasure this week in that she can always make me laugh and smile and we all need that : )
My treasure this week is a doctor that understands Chiari. Today, I visited my 3rd neurosurgeon since being diagnosed and he spent 2 hours of his time evaluating me and scheduling a date to do my Chiari decompression surgery. I was starting to think I would never find a doctor who understood and I can't even imagine how hard it is for the Chiari patients that aren't as lucky as me. I never thought I would be so excited about having surgery.
Hi...so glad u found a Dr that understands it is so important for all of us ....may we ask who u r seeing?
Dr. Spence in Oklahoma City. I was very impressed with his knowledge of Chiari. Him and his staff were wonderful. I will have to give another report on him after my operation, which should be in the next few weeks.
Please do not forget to post ur surgical date in the surgery date thread when u get it so we can post a prayer thread for u...and if u can have someone post updates on ur progress so u can rest : )
My treasure this week is the my DH. He gave me a very nice fluffy blanket. With teddy bear skin on one side and velvet on the other side. It's so warm I walk all around the house with my blanket on my shoulders.
Aww so sweet like a big warm hug from ur DH all day long <3
I know it's wensday, but this is nice. I was looking true my mother's old picture album for my second grader history class and I found a picture of my mum dressed in her 60's clothing and both of my kids went : ''Wow, mum your so cute.'' So I guess my mother and I look the same at the same age!!!
Finely I decided to send an old bible from my father's side at school. It belonged to my great-grand-father! It's from 1885 and it's in latin!!! I'm sure that the other kids would never have seen one like that before!
Aww sweet....funny how kids do not realize how much we look like our parents and the time frame difference....lol...
The old Bible sounds interesting, I remember Mass being in Latin,...I had no idea what they were saying, but I remember it : )
HI all what are ur treasure's this week?
Mine is my mom discovering her ability to complain and release her anger...at
75...lol...she was so funny and so liberating for her all at the same time...lol...

Getting ready for a quick visit from my cousin and her kids for this weekend. Cant wait to have some girlie giggle time with all of us girls (5)...the boys better watch out!!
