UPDATE ON DAWN1214's SURGERY

Below is an e-mail from Dawn's SIL and I have copied and pasted it so u all can see her progress!!

*************************************************************************************************************************************
Hi Friends,
I just spoke to Dawn  She sounded great, although she is still a little nauseous and has alot of pain in her back.   The doctors had to remove 1 whole bone and a section of 2 other bones to get to the cavernoma.  The physical therapist does not feel that Dawn will even need any physical therapy, as she is up and walking and seems to have full bladder control at this point.  She is out of the Intensive care unit, and  was moved to a private room this afternoon.

Dawn is not sure how long she will have to stay in the hospital, but she assumes at least another couple of days.

She said to thank you for your prayers, and that she will keep in touch with you hopefully later in the week.
Thanks for all of your concern and support,
Rita

Hello SelmaS
I do not know Dawn but let her know she is in my prayers. May she continue to recover at her best. I hope her symtoms subside.
Here is the follow up of my DD post surgery, sorry I haven't been in here for a while but I have been attending to her. I give myself therapy bc I do not like seeing her this way. It all so unfair.
My daughter had her syrinx surgery and she too is still recovering. She is still having great pain and is still in the hospital. They are trying to get her to urinate. After the folly cathiter removal she doesn't have the feeling to go, I do not understand before both lumbar area surgeries she was going on herself and now she isn't going at all. The doc are trying to help her. The doc says she may have to have CM surgery because of her other symtoms. He wants to see her tonsils move up a little.
Please keep her in your prayers and as always all of the people with CM are in ours. God bless.
