nerve food?????

if I knew then what I do now............
for starters i would go back to may and call off that day and avoid this mess entirely.  but i cant do that.

I would also drive out of town to find a more reliable Chiropractor.   (maybe one that does not feel he is a cure all to everything ....even cancer....i think a better word is quack)

I was told in not so many words that i am stuck and now that he is in charge of my workers comp case I can not go to another dr without him referring me and he thinks everything can be fixed with his expert ways and his line of herbal medications he makes and sells.

ok  not going to take those..........

the guy actually thinks he cured cancer with broccoli pills he made.....   and when i told him i was getting worse and now i can not see anything as the focus is gone everything is always blurry.  (thank goodness I can type without looking)  his response was this happens it is normal to get worse before you get better.   when I asked him how long i should expect things to keep getting worse he suggested i take some herbs that are "nerve food"  to rejuvenate the nerves that have been pinched off.

does this even sound a little right?   I dont think I can trust a thing he tells me.

has anyone else ever heard or fixing nerves like this?  I am wondering if this could indicate permanent damage.

thank you  : )   my quackopractor   as I have started to call him seems to think he is god and can cure cancer heal nerves back to life and fix anything with a simple back crack.

my insurance agent fromt he accident actually knew him well I guess he is known for managing to show everything is related to an accident  some one lost a foot to diabetes and two years later had a car wreck  he made sure that the foot was conneected  like phantom pain returned as soon as the accident happened and has been known to win stupid claims like that all the time.

i guess that may be good for me as long he does not do real damage along the way.

he claims he knows about chiari (i am sure he does not as he mis pronounced it)  he agreed to do all therapy on me like he would a child.  although I am stupid when it comes to this and wouldnt know the difference.  lol

well if nothing else I will get a laugh out of him.

on a side note did you know that lettuce tea takes away itching?   it is suposed to ballance liver enzymes that pile up and cause severe itching.  even in people that dont have liver problems sometimes your liver can be over worked and release too much causing itchy hands and feet you know the areas that you just cant itch right  lol  any ways  lettucce tea is supposed to rid this......i have used it with many of my liver cancer patietns and they claim to have gotten great relief from it.  (i bet my doc would claim it cured liver disease  LOL)

First things first, yes some herb, vit and minerals can 'help' with nerve pain. But heal nerves, sorry I"d say "prove it to me" where are the medical journals not written by you?
Caynne Pepper in your food, large quanities can help you deal with pain as it is a nerve block. Does it 'heal' the nerves NO. Vitamin B6 can help deal with the phantoms from injured nerves. Does it 'heal' nerves NO! There are others that help but if this guy has one that heals nerves.... well let me know what they are, but I want to see that journal along with the proven scientific clinical study.

Belive me, I"m not anti-herb at all! But it is folks like this that give herbs a bad name. they have their place just as meds do. Heal nerves??? If he has found that he wouldn't be working, he'd be retired in some beach resort sitting rich and pretty. BTW - the very word broccoli is vulgar... the ultimate of yuck!!!!

Please think about this seriously. No amount of money can buy you back your health.

LOL   well i am pretty sure he has been dropped on his head a few times as a kid.

I do believe in herbs making things stronger  but i do not believe that they are a cure all.  i just dont see people dying every day of cancer if it was as simple as eating more broccoli to cure.

I am just worried that he is causing more damage and he is trying to cover it up by giving me a pill.

I stopped telling docs I was a nurse and let them think I am dumb when it comes to stuff.  they would get all defensive with me when i would tell them i was a nurse and i understood things.

maybe i should let this one know i am one so that he will stop trying to pull fast ones on me that makes no sense.  he tried to tell me that heart palpitation were due to my back being out of place and with a few corrections it would be all better................

pray that my MRI of the c spine shows something so i can get appropriate help adn away from the quack  before he breaks me  lol
