POTTY REGRESSION 3.5 YEAR OLD

Nothing has changed over the last few weeks for my son, he is an only child and will be starting a new nursery in a weeks time.  He will use the toilet no problem for a wee wee but will only poo in his pants.  We have had to leave the park and other play places because he just continues to poo in his pants.  We have tried talking to him he just says sorry.  He have told him that its okay we aren't angry or cross with him.  We have tried using a star reward chart with chocolate buttons as a reward (which he loves)! And are not sure whether to put a nappy back on him or what to do.  No rewards/punishments help.  We can be out enjoying a lovely day out, I can take him to the toilet and will still poo in his pants after that.  I am a diabetic and struggling to keep up, with all the cleaning and washing involved everyday!  And really worried about school for him.  Had a child call him a baby today.  He has yesterday been found to have a stutter and will be seeing a speech therapist in 3 weeks.  We have handled it well at home, and don't dwell on it at all.  Please help feeling desparate and wanting to fall pregnant again but can't see myself coping with this and sugars and being pregnant!........... Melinda

Hi MELP3101, nice to hear from you again. I am hoping that what I said about my son will help you. Sorry for not letting you know about the other part. I just got my son underwear so he can wear and a toilet seat his size. Oh one more thing, at night or during nap times wait until he is completely asleep to put on a diaper, so he wont have any accident. Once he wakes up that is when they got to go right away so make sure to take him : )

Hi Favi,
Thank you so much for your reply.  I will definitely try this as nothing else seems to have worked at all.  Should I leave a pull up nappy on him or let him wear pants? Whilst doing the potty training?  The Cheerios idea sounds good!
Thanks again

Hi MELP3101
I also passed through what you are going. Lucky my son is now 5. When he turned 3 years old I go him potty trained as well, but I can say I had the same thing as you a hard time with no passions, but do not give up. This is how I potty trained him. Every day when he woke up I would take him to the restroom after 1/2 hour passed I will take him again I did this for 4 days yes it short min but every min counted after the 4 days I started to take him every hour after two weeks he I will wait till he asked me and if he didn't I would take him eventually he did it own his own.I would also reward him after I would let him sit for 10 to 15 min on the potty holding his thing down. One thing though I know husband hate this but I started sitting him like a girl goes to the bathroom after I should him how to do it the cool way by throwing Cheerios to make it fun and easy to aim. Well good luck but remember passions works take care
