Anger Issues

My son has trouble controlling his anger. Even when he was little he would do what we called "hulk out." He would clench his fists, tense up his whole body, and shake all over when he got angry about something. He is now 6 and he gets angry very easily. He tries to hurt his little sister when she "aggrivates" him. I have tried sendig him to his room for time out, taking away toys, and spanking but nothing seems to help. My husband things it just runs in the family to loose your temper so easily, but I don't want him to let it get out of control. He does not act like this at school nor at anyone elses house. Just when he is at home. Any suggestions on how to calm him down and teach him how to control his anger before it gets out of hand?

Then the problem is in his home if he doesnt feel anger anywhere else , so look at the child/parent interaction ,does he get enough attention, as he has a younger sister could she be getting more positive attention than he does, Experts agree that to focus on the positive side of a childs behavior is good and praise him when he does something right , work on the interaction, and get his Dad involved in sports with him and out side activities, Games and Fun.
