I have a 4 1/2 year old daughter that has been toliet trained since she was 3 years old. For the past 13 months she has been peeing her pants at daycare everyday. 3 months ago she pooped her pants and the caregiver refused to deal with her, so I put her in a new daycare. The first two weeks she peed her pants daily. Then she started doing better, less urine accidents. They are always watching her and know the pee pee dance and send her. However, she has been pooping her pants ever since that one day in her last daycare. I would say she has had 5 poops in her pants in the last two months. She recently started attending a preschool at well. She also soils herself there. She only has accidents when she is at home or with me maybe once a week. She is also wets her bed at night, she never wakes herself up at nigh to go pee. We did all the restrictions on her fluid intake after dinner time, take her to the bathroom before bed and during the night. It never helps. She wakes up sopping wet.
I told my doctor about her bedwetting. He put her on DDAVP since there is family history of bedwetting. She has been taking the medication for 2 months and no change.
Since she is still having daytime and nightime accidents and now poop accidents on a daily basis, I have run out of ideas. I want to take her to a specialist that can figure out what is wrong with her. She is also speech delayed, hyperactive and constantly falls.
Please doctor tell me what to do. What kind of specialist should she see to best figure out what is going on with my little girl. She starts kindergarten in less than a year and I would like to get answers for her and our family.
