One Eye Blinks

I take care of my 3 year old cousin alot, and noticed that sometimes when she looks at me, she gets this kind of a blank stare - like zoning out - and then she'll blink one eye.  It is not  a wink - it is just the same as a regular blink, just with one eye - usually the right eye.  We have always noticed that she has zoned out since she was about 1, so I started to take notes because I was concerned about autism.  Any suggestions as to what this could be from?  Any responses are appreciated. :)  Thanks ahead of time - from a concerned cousin.

blinking may be neurological....However, my son used to blink a lot, especially when he had hard time putting his words together; once he've mastered his sentences, he stopped.......Just zoning out alone does not imply autism, I zone out all the time:)

Go to www.autismspeaks.org and check the symptoms out

Good luck
