odd behaviour

I have a friend and her two an a half year old son in the past few months has started to get weird habbits, he has certain strange behaviours he wont try on or even change his clothes without screaming he wont change his shoes he dont let you hold his hand to walk he also has lots and lots of these quirks he only eats certain colour sweets he wont look at you direct . He has a great homelife two doting parents a 6year old brother he has had no changes or shocks to his life that any of us are awhere of my friend is quite upset by it it just keep assuring her he might grow out of it.thank you x

Has he lost language skills or shown other regression. Autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) is a definite worrisome possibility. Also, consider sensory integration problems, which may or may not be associated with ASD.

i would have hime evaluated by a developmental pediatrician.  it could be autism.  the lack of eye contact and resistance to changes makes me suspicious.
