Help with pain

I have alcohol cirrhosis but also have 2 hernias that cause severe pain. I am prescribed 40-60my oxycodone per day. What should my max dose a day top out at. I deal with the pain but I'm tired of laying around when the pain kicks in. I can't get my hernias fixed because of bleeding, my numbers are improving so at this rate I could have hernias surgery in about 9 months. But I need more pain relief so I can live somewhat normally. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

You should try to go to a pain clinic.  Your doc should be able to guide you to one.  Most medical facilities and hospitals have pain clinics.  I mean thats what I'd be looking into if I was you.

Good luck and hope you start feeling better and get some relief.

This should really be answered by your doctor. Pain management is a complex issue for people with cirrhosis. Everyone’s situation is different

Best of luck to you.
