Chest pressure while lying down

I am a 44 yr old female in general good health but not feeling 100% on average *smile*  My family has history of heart problems, strokes, high blood pressure.  In the last 8 months or so, while lying down to do ab exercises, I feel this soreness right under the breast, more on one side but at times, almost across the chest.  Also If I lift my arms up over my head I notice a slight pressure. It seems almost like a sore spot.  Other than that, not really noticable.  I have in the past few weeks noticed my hands and feet feel tingling and numb sometimes.  Especially waking in the night with the sensation.  My question is, do I see a cardiologist or just a general doctor?

I have recently went through a variety of test ordered by the Pulmonary Specialist d/t coming to him with shortness of breath and results of an echocardiogram of tricuspid regurgitation and increase pulmonary pressures. As a result I have learned I do not have PH; I have healthy lungs, but I do have moderate obstructive sleep apnea and Mitral and Tricuspid valve regurgitation  with slightly enlarged right and left heart. Not sure about what the heart thing means or if there is any relationship between the sleep apnea or not. When I seen the cardiologist he did not even mention all of this, most likely because he could not do anything for anyway, but still. Does anyone know if the heart issue can get better if I use the cpap or if they are even associated in any way?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

At this point. you can see your regular doctor for an evaluation. Medical history and physical examination will be done as well as laboratory tests ( blood tests, ECG or x-ray) to rule out musculoskeletal causes and heart problems. Depending on the results, you may then be referred to a specialist for further evaluation.

Take care and keep us posted.
