Need a solution for stained tooth

One of my friends is suffering from a stained tooth. She was a very active person in our college, but now drastically changed to an introvert due to her stained tooth. Photo sessions were inevitable in our college days, and now she is not joining us, worried about her smile. She is a person with extremely conscious about beauty, and for this reason, we are worried whether it will change to a depression stage. We consulted a cosmetic dentist and suggested dental bleaching as a remedy for her problem. We are in a confusion whether to go with the dental bleaching.
Will the dental bleaching damage the teeth? Is it a complete solution for a stained tooth?
Is there any other solution for a stained tooth? I need some suggestions on this issue.
Thanks.
