I have suffered with depression for 20 years and you def need tone seen by a doctor for a correct diagnosis, I am currently on medication and will be for the rest of my life. Drinking and smoking can give you similar symptoms to that of depression, first thing you need to do is stop all of that, as a mum I also understand the feelings you have after having a baby, and believe me many people experience the same, but drinking and smoking will make it a millions time worse.

Do you know that the protective chemical in marijuana (CBD)
these days has been almost completely bred out , resulting in more psychosis events from the effects of the THC chemical in the weed, with a much higher risk for triggering serious mental conditions in addition to  depression, such as Schizophrenia, specially if one has certain variants of a gene called COMT according to recent research?
This research may partly explain the increased risk of developing schizophrenia for people who smoke cannabis / marijuana.

Yvonnesf, you have been blessed with a baby son.
It's time to rise above your personal challenges and be a good and loving mother. Your son needs you.
Otherwise, if unable to do so, please seek some professional help, in order to overcome this.

I hope you find the wisdom and strength to do the right thing, for yourself,
your son and the people around you.

Blessings to all!

I noticed very quickly how fast your spelling and grammar has changed in this message........drugs like weed make you sleepy but get the term right. It's canibus, which makes me think you're doing it illegally or in Colorado...
Sorry for the attitude but I cannot help someone who types like that. That's the language arts level of a 7th grader or possibly lower....and thinking A LOT will lead to depression if you don't focus on the right things......think like a scientist-if all the thinkers in the world were paid to think-cures would be made a lot faster, because other people would be paid to do the work...and you just sit there and think.

The weed can be a factor to what is causing you to be tired and depressed. I have been dealing with depression for 6 years now. I was diagnosed with Borderline personality disorder and I have been in therapy for 5 years. I have an addiction to weed and I know when I smoke, it make my depression worse. You can try to handle it on your own but since you don't exactly know what it is, seeing a therapist would probably be the best. As for smoking and drinking, they are both depressants so it will cause your depression to be worse.
