Antidepressants have their part of damage. We have to bear that.
my problem is suppressed emotions
got any tips on helping this ? :) anyone ?
It is recommended for those with resistant depression and for those who cannot tolerate drugs
Both rTMS and tvns have been clinically proven to be effective for depression. That's why it is fda approved
Tvns yet to get fda approval but it is approved in europe
There are 2 different non invasive non drug treatment options to treat depression which are approved by FDA and Europe
RTms refers to repititive transcranial magnetic stimulation . It consist of 45 sessions each lasting for 30 minutes . Week magnetic stimulation is applied over your scalp and within 6 weeks you will feel back to normal but effects last for 6 to 8 months hence you need maintainance treatment once month to prevent relapse
Tvns is available in Germany italy and Austria it is a simple device that stimulates your vagus nerve in your ear
More details available on cerbomed web site
It is intended for epilepsy and depression but trials being conducted for anxiety as well

Zoloft causes nausea and gastric disturbances so take it after your breakfast along with an antiemetic like domperidone 10 mg .
Nausea usually settles after 6 weeks of using Zoloft.when you start noticing improvement in mood and energy.
If side effects are intolerable you may half the dose of Zoloft or go for repititive Transcranial magnetic stimulation . It must be available in your country just do a search on it and it is free of side effects . you are welcome to ask any questions
it only started in the mornings after i started with the pill today i didnt feel sick
It could be that you're pushing yourself too far in the mornings. Maybe you think that you need to keep on trying and trying you'll get faster healing results, when your body just needs a rest sometimes.
its only in the mornings i feel sick for some reason :(
I see that you tried to be a good son to help out your dad take the laundry off the line, but then this bad situation happened that left you immobile for a long time. Perhaps you felt helpless and afraid, since you lacked control. You couldn't control your own body, and couldn't control where life was taking you. But this is why I think you should try to structure and gain control and perspective of your life again.
Maybe you feel emotionless, because of how much your body and mind have been going through, and the sudden transition of it all. Maybe since you had high levels of anxiety and stress, it made you go into a panicked state. And things like neck pain triggers your panicked state again. But then after the panicked state, you'll feel emotionless, since it's probably because it's easier on your body/mind to not feel anything, than it is to feel the increased panicked state. But this isn't good for the long term. I would suggest doing a lot of things in order for you to feel safe and comfortable.
The sickness you're feeling, could be attributed to either taking strong medications, or it could be because of the high anxiety you're going through. Either way, still see your medical professionals, especially for those symptoms of shakiness, sweating, and vomiting.
sorry it seems to affect me in the mornings alot :(
i now cant feel a thing but i still feel sick
my therapist said go for a walk then lay down
Yes, I agree with njursegirl6572.
I have posted you a private message to your answer, but I am pasting it here too.
I had never heard of Lexo before and I do not know the answer to your question. This is a question you need to ask your doctor.
At the moment you are exhibiting the typical symptoms of depression. People who suffer from depression, do not feel happy. I had been like that for years and trying to work through and get out of depression takes time. Well done for you that you recognised that you do need help from the therapist. And all you can do is take on board the advice I gave you before in on of your other threads and also follow the advice of your doctor and therapist.
Sometimes some medications can cause side effects or they may not suit you, so that is why if you experience anything different when you start taking the pill, it may be that it does not suit you. You can also ask the pharmacist if the symptoms you got (shaking, sweating and feeling nausea) could be side effects from the Lexo. But in any event, there should be an information leaflet that came with your medicine that you can read. This will explain what the medicine is used for, the dosage and any possible side effects and what to do in the even of experiencing any particular symptoms as a result of taking the med.
The shaking, sweating and the near vomiting, may be a reaction to the Lexo that it may not suit you, or this may be some type of food poisoning or you may have picked up a bacterial or viral infection. This why a doctor needs to examine you to rule find out what the cause is as it may not be anything to do with the Lexo.
As per my private message, make an urgent appointment to see your doctor so that he can examine you.
Sorry i feel really sick atm
i feel like im gonna break down
i told my mum and dad yesterday but iduno how they took it
i just want to feel happy again so i can beat it but im shaking swweating and almost puked last night
i dont know whats happening to me
Hon, you keep posting repetitive threads, asking the same thing. For starters, you HAVE to give this time. Anxiety and depression usually takes time to manage, it doesn't happen overnight. The Lexapro can (and likely will) take up to about 4-6 weeks (sometimes even longer) to really make a significant change in how you're feeling.
When is your next therapy appointment? Did you ask your therapist for ideas? You can always call and ask for an earlier appointment, or ask to speak with the counselor. Have you looked for self help books? Gotten busy with life? Started an exercise regimen/hobby? There are all KINDS of things you can do to help you feel better, but you have to put consistent work in, AND, as hard as it is, you have to try to be patient. The biggest problem I see with you is that you're allowing yourself to just basically sit around and ruminate about how you feel. That's the very worst thing you could do.
Get engaged in life....and turn to your therapist for some ideas of other things you can do to help you feel better. And, remember that you won't be able to fairly assess the effectiveness of the Lexapro for at least probably about another month, if not longer. Take your medication every day, as close to the same time each day as you can. Do you have any family or friends you could lean on as well? Emotional support is important.
