Hey Blank,

How are you doing?

I also became very depressed as a teen - besides the history in my life - I was so afraid of the future - the future is so uncertain, so scary.
I wondered what in the world I would do for a living?
Who would be my support structure (none from family)?

It just all seemed so hopeless. I really didn't think I would make it at all and I didn't think I had it in me to make it.
I actually kind of gave up - (i gave up before it could give up on me).

I really felt that noone loves me, I'm all alone, worried, scared and anxious.
Angry at the world and how it treats it's innocent people. very angry at every little injustice of life.
I hated being a teen, truly.

but Blank, you will be graduating before you know it - time flies!
(I hated school too, a mix of boredom and depression)

Please hang in there.
If I were you - Play video'computer games,
do team sports (any exercise) find something you enjoy - and if this changes all the time, move on to learn new things.
If you enjoy animals - offer to take the dogs at the animal shelter out for short walks, volunteer at the zoo for a while, something like that.

Anything you are interested in - if you want to see how sweets are made - visit a factory - they usually show people around - especially interested teens.

There really is so much to explore.
The worst thing to do now is to sit alone and think.

i'm still learning so much everyday - the internet is so awesome and will keep your mind interested.
Just try a bit of everything, you never know.. you may discover some talents you never knew you had.
Good luck and remember - your situation NOW is NOT forever.

(it feels like forever, but it will pass)

Depression usually surfaces in the teen years, when the hormones shift all over the place.  Believe me, you're in good company.  All three of my kids had trouble with depression and/or anxiety during the teen years.  Please don't feel alone.  It's a very common problem.  I should've asked you first if there is something specific that is making you depressed.  My oldesst daughter had so much trouble with friends.  She just didn't fit in anywhere.  She was sabotaged on the internet and at school and made a complete outcast.  I was her best friend for four years.  She's 18 now and is finally making some friends.  Kids in their teen years can be the cruelest people.  It's hard to deal with depression and all the cruelty people can dish out at the same time.

Be active in trying to help your situation.  Like the above post said, go get help and talk to someone.  You are just as important as anyone else put on this earth.  Treat the depression as a separate entity that needs to be dealt with.  But don't let it identify you.
Keep moving.  Try to avoid sitting in your room, listening to sad music (or violent music), and dwelling on the depression and all that is wrong with your life.

I hope this post or someone's post helps you, even if it's a little bit.  And talk with someone.

keep in touch

No matter how hard it may be for you to do, talk to someone you trust, friend, mom, dad, anyone and have them take you to a psychologist, psychiatrist or doctor so they can possibly help you.  I went to a doctor he suggested medication for me and I feel so much better.
