Double depression/PTSD/panic disorder

Well as you can see I am a mess. I wonder everyday how I function.....but I do. My question is with all of these issues can the fact that I have neurological issues contribute?  I am wonder if the brain lesions or small vessel damage in my brain cause depression?  Things are getting worse as I get older.  I am 43 now. I have dealt with these issues since being a teenager. I didnt get the diagnosis of lesions in the white matter and cerebral peduncle until I was in my 30's due to very bad pain in my head. i just need to make sense of it. Unfortunately, when a doctor see's that you have depression they tend to say that any symptoms are because of that. I am tired of all the meds to make me slow and zoned........I guess to mask what might really be wrong...I don't know but I am getting very upset that I cant get help.

I am sorry for your pain. I too suffer from depression, but as far as we know, no leisons or anything similar.

my depression ranges. Today is a decent day! A week ago, not so much. Are your doctors listening to you? Do you feel they actually care? The key is to find a doctor who is of the same mind set as you. And that can be tough to do.  Keep strong! It will all work out! Let me know if there is anything I can do! Even just be a shoulder to lean on!

Have a good evening and good luck!

just wondered if anyone else is going through the same thing. wasnt really looking for a diagnosis. sometimes someone else may be experiencing the same thing and can give a suggestion. ive been on all the meds you can name. nothing really helps ....just makes me slow and bland. oh well, i think i am just going to accept that depression and physical pain are what life is about.  everytime i try to dig deeper it gets more confusing and frustrating.  thanks for the reply though.

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that,  if it because of the brain lesions, it's best you do speak with a professional, no one here can make a guess if it is. What I would recommend is to see a psychiatrist if you haven't already, or at least sit down with a therapist regarding your issues. Talking can really help. Are you on any psychoparmaceuticals?
