My axiety and panic has seemed to ease up. The therapy session and xanax has helped. I feel somewhat peaceful not but now my heart feels weak. Could my anxiety have stressed my heart out? My heart feels like it beats really fast and I feel pretty weak. It seems like I went from anxiety to an illness. Could this be related?
Thank you for all of your suggestions and comments.
Meds for anxiety and panic attacks might be the short term solution.Work with your doctor.Therapy doesn't always work because most therapists like to charge like wounded bulls and seem to look at the clock alot.If you find a good one however it might help. All the best.
my previous comment was actually for mom of 3! sorry for the mix up
Therapy would definitely improve your symptoms but if you cannot afford therapy try to help yourself in the same ways. when you get very anxious try to relax and meditate and always "calm yourself down" and think positive thoughts. if you help tell yourself that your feelings are irrational/over the top, and try to re-reason your thinking to a rational positive calm thought. Example: thought: "oh my god my friends dont like me because i always say the wrong things!" re-thought: " no no calm down, your friends still invite you over, and that would be harsh for them to judge you because you may say something akward because im anxious, im sure im just judging myself to harshly. plus im so kind im sure my friends will over look my akward statements because they like my generousity and humor."
its good to just train yourself to be less anxious by using methods like this. it works the same with depression, just try to think happy thoughts and reaffirm yourself :)
Are you going for therapy sessions? This is something you may want to consider. I know many people do not like the idea of going to therapy because it means there is something wrong with them. That's not at all the way it should be viewed. Instead, by going to therapy, you will have a chance to have someone listen to your concerns and help you work toward getting over your anxiety and get to the root of why it started and how to cope with it, when you feel attacks coming on. I hope this helps.
