Are these hives ,flea bites, mosquito or bed bugs or something more serious?

I have a friend who has a cat that goes outside. Ever since I've been going to their house I've been getting huge raised bumps in twos. They are really swollen. They look like mosquito bites but its to cold. I've been taking allergy meds but nothing helps. It feels like a sharp prick then a well hives or something shows up. I got to my,other friends house who also has a cat who is an indoor  and I don't break out. The only difference is one friend does have roaches so I'm wondering if that's what I'm allergic too.

Sometimes certain cats dander can cause a reaction and other cats dander is fine- it's also possible that there is a issue with something in the house of the friend who has roaches- perhaps it's not as clean?  It could be dust, mold, or just it not being sanitary that could be causing you the issue.  I'd lean more towards it's the cat, especially if it's an outdoor cat.

Are you able to not go to that friends house for a while and see if it clears up?
